Expertise and Research Interests
In 2020 I started a PhD thesis on the subject of hypersexuality. I’m especially interested in differences between problematic and non-problematic hypersexuality. Some of these differences might concern emotion regulation processes and I use experience sampling methodology to investigate emotion regulation in sexual contexts. In our research, we also take into account emotions and sexuality in the general population in order to compare results for different groups. On the other hand, we also focus on specific subpopulations like for instance participants in chemsex of pornconsumers.
