With gratitude for the friendly support of Pfizer, three awards were given for best oral presentation (Dr. Nantje Fischer, University of Oslo, Norway) and best poster (ex aequo: Piet van Tuijl, MSc, Open University, The Netherlands, and Isidora Starovlah, University of Novi Sad, Serbia) at the ESMN Symposium ‘Sexuality in Europe 2021 in Salzburg.

International Sex Survey

The University of Montreal, Canada (Dr. Beáta Bőthe) launched the International Sex Survey, which is a cross-cultural study involving 45 countries around the world.

They are recruiting participants over 18 years old for the International Sex Survey (ISS)!

 Help thembetter understand which factors can contribute to problematic and non-problematic sexual behaviours and sexual well-being.

 The research is:

–       an online survey

–       anonymous

–       takes 25-30 minutes

You can participate if you are:

–       18 years old or over

 

About the ISS

The International Sex Survey (ISS) is a large, cross-cultural study that examines sexuality, including the positive (e.g., sexual satisfaction, sexual desire) and negative aspects of it (e.g., sexual risk-taking, sexual function problems) via an anonymous online survey. We will donate 50 cents (USD) to non-profit, sexuality-related international organizations (e.g., World Association for Sexual Health) for every completed survey, with a maximum of a 1000 USD donation. The ISS will be conducted with more than 40 participating countries. This way, we can compare the results across different cultures, and have a more comprehensive understanding of sexuality all over the world. Thus, your participation in the study will help with the success of our research.

Petition to support the Sexology Team of Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands

Dear colleagues in Sexology science, patient care and education of the ESSM, IASR en COST,

Recently, we – staff members of the outpatient clinic Psychosomatic Gynaecology and Sexology of the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) – were confronted with the message that the managers of our Medical Center will ‘economize strongly on our outpatient clinic and research group’. This is another way of saying that, in consequence, our outpatient clinic and research group will be eliminated.
We really cannot accept this.
We urgently need your help to support us in our endeavour to save our outpatient clinic and research group. We need to convince the Board of Directors of our Medical Center of the value and significance of our group. We kindly ask you to help us in this.
